This policy explains what information AllGovtTest (allgovttest.com) collects when you use the website, why we collect it and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you create an account
Your name, username, email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form). You can also add a mobile number and profile photo. If you take mock tests, we store your answers, scores and the time taken.
When you comment
Your name, email address and comment. Your name and comment are shown publicly after approval; your email address is never shown.
When you contact us
Your name, email address, subject and message.
When you turn on job alerts
If you allow notifications, your browser gives us a push subscription address and encryption keys. We store these with your IP address and browser details so we can send you alerts.
When you visit pages
When you open a post or article, we record the page, the time, your approximate country, IP address and browser details. We use this to understand which updates are most useful.
How we use your information
- To run your account, mock tests and results.
- To send emails you ask for, such as account verification and password reset.
- To reply to your messages and publish approved comments.
- To send job alert notifications, if you turned them on.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To understand usage and improve the website.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and browser storage
- Session cookie: keeps you logged in and protects forms from misuse. It is removed when you close your browser.
- Browser storage: remembers whether you have already answered the job alert prompt, so we don't keep asking.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Services we rely on
- Google Fonts serves the fonts on our pages, so your browser connects to Google's servers.
- UI Avatars (ui-avatars.com) creates a default profile picture from your name if you have not uploaded one.
- Browser push services (operated by Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on your browser) deliver job alerts.
- Our email provider delivers verification, password reset and reply emails.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its database.
How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account exists, and other information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Access or correct: update your details from your profile page, or ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Delete: ask us to delete your account, comments or messages.
- Stop alerts: turn off notifications for allgovttest.com in your browser's site settings at any time.

Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your information. No website can guarantee complete security, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere.
Children
AllGovtTest is meant for job seekers and students preparing for exams. If you are under 18, please use the website with a parent or guardian's permission.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
